A Wonderful Sunday at Church

It’s wonderful to be a member of a church that so wholeheartedly supports what we are going to be doing in Chile. Bekah and I left church this past Sunday elated, feeling the love and support of our congregation. “What happened?” you may ask.

Well this Sunday we had our quarterly lunch and church conference. Now many people hear the words church conference or business meeting and cringe. (Normally I’m one of them.) But this week was different.

Our church voted this week to become our Encourager Church! This is amazing. Through this relationship we will have a church home that we can depend on to support us financially, prayerfully, administratively, and hopefully through short term missions.

Not only this but we heard reports of money being pledged to our ministry, an upcoming fundraiser “A Taste of Chile” that will be held in September for our work, and a reallocation of funding to us. We also were aproached after the meeting by church members asking if we would come to speak in their Sunday School class. The ball is rolling and we couldn’t be happier.

I can’t sufficiently express my gratitude to First Baptist Tucker for their ongoing support. It is an extreme blessing.
